The benefits of social software

I've spent the last few days trying to catch up with the course work, and it has been a rather enjoyable experience. The social software applications used in this class are proving to be beneficial to my graduate work. I find del.icio.us extremely useful as a means of organizing databases, articles, and research material. I am in the process of collecting literature review resources for my rural development thesis, a task that will be much simpler with del.icio.us.This is a great improvement over saving information in Bookmarks, a method that seems archaic in comparison. As a library assistant with BUNTEP at Brandon University, I am responsible for conducting workshops with the students in our program. I think I will add a tutorial on the use of social software applications to future sessions.
